You may qualify for CRCU membership in the following ways:
  • Independent School Districts (ISDs) – Any person who work, reside, worship, or attend school, and businesses located within the boundaries of the Goose Creek, Barbers Hill, Crosby, Dayton, Huffman, Humble, Liberty and New Caney Independent School Districts.
  • Persons who work, reside, worship, or attend school, and businesses located within the boundaries of the area commonly known as Lynchburg, Texas.
  • Proximity to CRCU Branches – Any person who lives, works, worship, or attends school — and any business – located within a 10-mile radius of our CRCU branch locations in Baytown, Crosby, Mont Belvieu, Atascocita, and New Caney.

  • Employees of Exxon Mobil Corporation and United States Steel Corporation; their wholly owned companies, divisions, subsidiaries, associations, dealers, agents and full-time employees of the retail outlets of the above corporations; associations of such employees; employees of such associations; employees of IKG Industries, Channelview; employees and members of the Escapees Inc.; employees of Lee College District; employees of the Credit Union.
  • Any business or organization whose employees or members are within this field of membership.
  • Persons receiving retirement, pension, or other benefits as results of prior employment by any business or organization included within this field of membership.
  • Groups of employees or members of companies or associations which are located within reasonable geographic proximity of one of this credit union’s offices and which have furnished written evidence of the group’s desire to be eligible for membership; provided, however, that (1) any group having more than 300 employees or members or (2) any group already being served as primary members of another credit union shall be admitted only by an amendment of this section which specifically names the group being admitted.
  • Members of record of Baytown Teachers Credit Union as of the effective date of its merger with Community Resource Credit Union, including:
    • Employees of public and private schools and governmental entities, including city, county, state and federal employees, who work or reside in Chambers County;
      • Scholarship fund accounts associated with living or deceased members, organizations or clubs within the field of membership.
  • Persons who work, reside, worship, or attend school, and businesses located within the boundaries of Liberty or Chambers County, Texas, and members of the immediate family of such persons. Members of the "immediate family" shall include parents, spouse, surviving spouse, grandparents, brothers and sisters and children of such persons.
  • Persons who work, reside, worship, or attend school, and businesses located within the boundaries of Montgomery County, Texas, and members of the immediate family of such persons. Members of the "immediate family" shall include parents, spouse, surviving spouse, grandparents, brothers and sisters and children of such persons.

How to get started

Applying is fast and easy with our online application. Just have the following information handy to complete your application:
 
  • Your Social Security number or Tax Payer Identification Number
  • A valid driver license or state ID
If a Military ID accompanies any documentation submitted, we actively encourage you to visit a neighboring branch to complete an application.  Otherwise, please upload a valid (state issued) driver’s license/ID, Passport, Concealed Handgun License or Mexican Matricula.

  • Proof of residency (such as a utility bill or lease agreement) if your address does not match your ID
  • Routing and account numbers from another financial institution if you wish to fund your new account with a transfer
If there will be an additional signee on the account, they must be available to validate their personal information. For your security, your member application session will automatically time out if there is no activity for 30 minutes. USA Patriot Act
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING OR CHANGING AN ACCOUNT WITH COMMUNITY RESOURCE CREDIT UNION
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account or changes an existing account. This federal requirement applies to all new customers and current customers. This information is used to assist the United States government in the fight against the funding of terrorism and money-laundering activities.

What this means to you: when you open an account or change an existing account, we will ask each person for their name, physical address, mailing address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify them. We will ask to see each person's driver's license and other identifying documents and copy or record information from each of them.
