Welcoming Our New Caney Branch: Strengthening Community Partnerships!

Community Resource Credit Union (CRCU) is thrilled to announce the grand opening of our newest branch in the New Caney Market! This marks our first branch opening in seven years, making this an exciting and monumental occasion for CRCU. We are proud to expand our presence in East Montgomery County and strengthen our commitment to serving the community.

 

 

The grand opening celebration was filled with energy, with vendors, staff volunteers, and community members coming together to mark the special event. CRCU’s partnership with New Caney ISD was a highlight of the day, as we presented a donation to the New Caney ISD Educational Foundation in support of their ongoing efforts. Attendees could see our name proudly displayed on the New Caney ISD natatorium, and we are equally proud to sponsor their football, basketball, and volleyball programs.

 

 

CRCU Chairman Randall Sanders delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the "power of community" and CRCU’s dedication to supporting the New Caney area as a vital financial resource. "We’re here to help you make your dreams come true," Sanders said. He highlighted the credit union's deep ties with the Chamber of Commerce and New Caney Independent School District, underscoring CRCU’s role in building lasting relationships within the community.

 

 

Interim President and CEO Brenda Weinberger echoed these sentiments, sharing CRCU's excitement to continue supporting Dogwood Elementary as part of our fourth year as partners in education. From providing back-to-school supplies to hosting faculty luncheons and Thanksgiving meal drives for deserving families, CRCU’s dedication to the local schools continues to grow.

 

 

In addition to our educational partnerships, CRCU proudly collaborates with the East Montgomery County Improvement District and supports local events such as the annual Christmas festival and Easter egg hunt, bringing the community together during the holidays.

 

 

We were also thrilled to announce a new partnership with Family Promise of Montgomery County. This collaboration includes sponsoring their upcoming barbecue cook-off to raise funds for unsheltered families with children in the area.

 

 

Another special moment came as we partnered with Boots for Troops, a local organization that uplifts and supports active-duty military members and their families. Lindsay Rogers, representative for Boots for Troops, shared the incredible impact of their programs, including custom care packages, travel assistance, and scholarships for military spouses. CRCU is proud to sponsor their upcoming golf tournament as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting military families.

 

 

The day concluded with an exciting ribbon-cutting ceremony, where CRCU’s board members, executive team, and local elected officials gathered to officially open our newest branch. We’re honored to be part of the New Caney community and look forward to building lasting partnerships that strengthen and enrich the lives of our members.
